This book is written from the point of view of a girl of perhaps five or six who has been adopted from China. It works through a discussion of the childs birthmother (the Mommy Far) and how she came to be adopted by her family (Mommy Near). This book is extremely well written and is an excellent way to bring this issue up for discussion in any adoptive family. The illustrations are well matched to the tone and content. I would recommend this book to all China families.
