| Comments about Hotel: | The Ritz was definitely top of the line. Our room was more like a suite, with a separate sitting area that came in handy when the baby went to sleep. Also, by the time we got there, all my attention was focused on the baby, and I was happy to pay any amount of money to be waited on hand and foot. The concierge was happy to take care of confirming all our travel arrangements home, a complimentary car to the airport was included in the package (as was laundry service). On more than one occasion, a meal in the excellent restaurant was interrupted by an over-stimulated baby, and the staff uncomplainingly packed up all our food onto a room service cart and wheeled it up to the room. they also provided hot water, a hot pot, bottled water and even filled her bottle with apple juice without a raised eyebrow. Yes, overall it was probably about $700 a night for 2 nights stay, but I can't say I regret it now. |
