Online Books and E-Books

The Internet is chock-full of short erotic stories by thousands of amature erotic authors. Some of them are surprisingly good, but in all too many cases, you get what you pay for. Some authors have begun selling thier work in electonic format (E-books) either on their own, through online merchants like Amazon.com, or through some new publishers that only publish electronic books. Often you can download the first chapter for free and then decide whether to purchase the rest of the book--something that mainstream publishers are also starting to offer.

The Alt.Sex.Stories Text Repository: Hundreds of authors and thousands of stories on all aspects of sexuality, though you may find it a bit hard to locate a story that matches your exact interests. It also includes a number of articles and resources to help aspiring erotic authors.

Desiree Erotique has written several books for Extasy Books, an E-Book publisher.

The Erotic Mind-Control Story Archive: About a thousand short stories of varying quality that feature sex and hypnosis, brainwashing or other forms of mind control. Many also feature bondage, torture, and other traditional bdsm themes.

Adrian Hunter and Chelsea Shepard have written a number books and stories that are available at their website or through Amazon.com and in either electronic or paper format. (Adrian tells me that people prefer the E-books 20-1 over paper.) They have another website that features the work of other authors. So far, their books inlcude Once Bitten, and two collections of Hunter's short stories: Something Just Clicked and Crash Your Party Dress.

Literotica has free short stories in a number of categories.

Renaissance E-Books: Electronic books in a variety of formats (Palm, PDF, etc.) and on a variety of adult topics including bdsm and some reprints of 19th century and early 20th century erotic novels. Mobipocket is another good source of E-books on a variety of topics and also sells some adult fiction.

Silver Moon Books used to offer free downloads of all the first chapters of their books. Now it looks like you have to pay for a membership. The brief excerpts don't leave one interested in reading more.
