If you are interested in submarines, sonar or Anti Submarine Warfare (ASW), then I recommend membership in the Naval Submarine League.

Please also visit our courses on Advanced Undersea Warfare, Submarines and Their Combat Systems, and Sonar Principles and ASW Analysis.

The Naval Submarine League is an organization whose members (both civilian and military) understand the need for a strong Submarine Force and are interested in promoting an awareness of this need throughout American society. Members are those individuals who want to keep alive the submarine past, help with present submarine problems and be influential in guiding the future of submarines in the U.S. Navy.

Membership in the Naval Submarine League is $25.00 per year ($15.00 for active duty, drilling reserves and students). You will receive four issues of The Submarine Review, an annual Directory of Members, and a biannual Fact and Submarine Anecdote Book. Since the League is a not-for-profit educational organization, 2/3 of annual dues are tax deductible contributions. Additional benefits include membership in one of our 11 Local Chapters, invitation to attend our annual NSL Symposium in June each year in the local Washington, D.C. area and special consideration for participation in the classified Submarine Technology Symposium, held in May at The Johns Hopkins University/Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel Maryland.

The Review contains articles authored by a variety of experts on submarine history, current operations, and the needs of the future. Our Annual Symposium features leading government and Navy officials, and our Submarine Technology Symposium explores the leading edge of submarine advanced research and development.

Membership information can be obtained by calling (703) 256-0891, faxing to (703) 642-5815, writing to Naval Submarine League, P.O. Box 1146, Annandale, VA 22033, or E-Mail to: subleague@starpower.net.
